New Dominion School is a haven for youth that need a place where they can feel accepted in all their struggles, challenged to grow, and nurtured in their strengths. New Dominion has successfully helped boys and girls for the past 28 years. We are seeking energetic counselors to work in an alternative school for emotionally challenged boys and girls. People who understand youth and possess strong determination are essential to our team. Successful counselors have a strong urge for personal growth.

Each counselor team of three is responsible for guiding and facilitating the emotional development of a group of 10-12 students. Our strongest impact is made within the relationship built between each staff and student. Counselors serve as role models and help students form honest relationships, develop positive self-worth, and work together toward common goals. We also facilitate each student's development through therapeutic activities and hiking, canoeing and bike trips in the Spring through the Fall. This is a 5 day residential position with 48 hours off each week.
